Cannot build both gcc and new snapshot on i686-pc-linux-gnu

Hi Benjamin,

The first file to fail is the second on the list, header_fstream.cc.

I tried to compile it manually, with the command

/home/russell/local/bin/g++ -v -o crap -fhonor-std -g -O2 -DDEBUG_ASSERT
-static
../../../../gcc-2.95.2/libstdc++/testsuite/17_intro/header_fstream.cc -I
/home/russell/local/include/g++-v3/ -L /home/russell/local/lib/

Flags, directories, etc, copied from mkcheck.

There are more error messages than you want to look at, but this is how
things start off: (I think that all the include files are the right ones.
I had installed in /home/russell/local)

And so on, at enormous length. It's obviously not a link problem!

When I run make check-install, the error messages in the mkchecklog.txt
file are the same.

In order to allay any legitimate suspicions you might have, I should say
that I installed into a virgin directory. The stuff there from the last
time I compiled the library was moved out of the way before I did the
install.
