Building on LINUX PPC

Which CVS? The libffi one?

I recently played around with the gcc/libffi on darwin and I compared the
CVS from libffi and found that this one is out of date, some kind.

So you may try this one:

cvs -z9 -d :pserver:anoncvs@gcc.gnu.org:/cvs/gcc co gcc/libffi

Then you get a very recent one. But as said I don't know if this helps.
