            Bug ID: 23740
Summary: kl_GL: Month names need update
           Product: glibc
           Version: 2.28
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: localedata
Assignee: unassigned at sourceware dot org
Reporter: digitalfreak at lingonborough dot com
CC: libc-locales at sourceware dot org
  Target Milestone: ---

Continuing my email conversation with Oqaasileriffik here is an updated list of
month names which I have received from them, taking the most recent updates on
their ortography into account.

Greenlandic month names (as named by themselves, altmon array):

januaari
februaari
marsi
apriili
maaji
juuni
juuli
aggusti
septembari
oktobari
novembari
decembari

Abbreviated month names (abmon):

jan.
febr.
mar.
apr.
maj
jun.
jul.
aug.
sept.
okt.
nov.
dec.

Also they have confirmed that inflection exists in the Greenlandic language so
the correct case to use when displaying a date is the relative case (this
should go to the mon array):

januaarip
februaarip
marsip
apriilip
maajip
juunip
juulip
aggustip
septembarip
oktobarip
novembarip
decembarip

The correct date format is MDY, for example:

    oktobarip 4-at 2018

While at this, the suffix "-at" is sometimes "-at" and sometimes "-iat", we
can't handle this at the moment.
