UTF8 charmap and Unicode version?

Hi,

I'm really not familiar with charmaps, and hope to get some help here...

- If a code point is new in newer Unicode version, and does not exist in
UTF8 charmap, what function or tools will have problem when trying to use
this new char / codepoint?

- If I update UTF8 charmap to latest Unicode version, how can I test its
correctness? This is actually same question as previous one but in different
view.
