Aha. OK:
$ makeinfo --version
makeinfo (GNU texinfo) 4.13
I've got errors for autoreconf and gcc on this machine, but haven't had
something indicate issues with texinfo yet. I'll replace that too.
$ cat /etc/lsb-release
DISTRIB_ID=LinuxMint
DISTRIB_RELEASE=13
DISTRIB_CODENAME=maya
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Linux Mint 13 Maya"
