I checked in more ld.so changes to fix yet more boundary cases.  It
took far too long to do this.  The problems are getting more and more
esoteric and the solutions more and more complicated.  I cannot think
about any other case which requires testing so maybe we are stable
again.  Please give it as much testing as possible.
