[PATCH] RPC changes

I have something else in mind.  The first thread to use the RPC stuff
will simply not allocate any data structures but instead use pointers
to the global variables.  I.e., all programs were only one thread uses
RPC will run as before including use of global variables and copy
relocations.   I'll look at this later today (hopefully).
