With today's CVS, I got

# make install
....
sort: /home/work/glibc/signal/stubs: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** [/work/linux/release/glibc-2.1.90/usr/include/gnu/stubs.h] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/work/gnu/src/glibc'
make: *** [install] Error 2
