OK: in AG Draft 3, XSH (System Interfaces & Headers), for aio_fsync()
[not aio_cancel] it uses the same words as are in 1003.1-1996.

I can see where this might be read as a "general" statement, but really
this appears to be in reference to useage by applications for using the
struct with aio_error() etc.

You certainly cannot "ignore" the other members of the struct in all
the APIs in which it is used....
