I think what the part you removed is trying to say, is that if the
shared object you asked for was a symlink (such as libfoo.8.so ->
libfoo.8.1.so) then the original asked-for name (libfoo.8.so) is
what's passed to la_objsearch(), not the linked-to-file
(libfoo.8.1.so) that will be actually opened.

I suspect this info should go in the upcoming documentation instead,
unless it counts as an implementation detail.  It should of course be
verified first ;-)

This new API should go in the upcoming documentation too, but it's not
fair to ask for that before either the API or the documentation are in
place ;-)
