Yup.

Yup.  I've mentioned before that this is intentional.  We need the
framework and the AT_SECURE parts to get basic functionality, but we
don't need the overridable parts for that, and I was trying to keep the
patch from growing without bounds before people could start playing with
it.  I'll work on this part once the main patch set is in.
