2.44

       Hi,

while building 2.44 on my workstation (Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 7 265,
Debian GNU/Linux forky/sid, gcc 15.3.0) I got:

      1 FAIL
   1251 PASS
     15 XFAIL

1) the summary of failures is no more easy to see in the output of make
   check. One has to look at build/tests.sum.

2) the failure is in elf/check-abi-libc:
