FTR, I have suggested to Carlos during the Cauldron that trying to find
a way to use the promised funds with our current (non-ideal, but still)
hosting, to implement the desired addon features on it, rather than
having those funds come across as bait to lure us into a trap, would go
a long way in alleviating my concerns.

That *is* objectively constructive.

But has that been done?

Evidently not.

I worry why it hasn't.

It reeks of something fishy.

As a result, the bait, the trap and the discomfort stand, so that wasn't
a constructive choice.

But of course calling out behaviors by labeling them as not constructive
is often very selective. It usually depends on what colors one's
glasses are tinted with.

We're showing our biases, no doubt, but is it constructive to label
disagreeing but well-founded and well-meaning opinions as not
constructive?
