Great!  I didn't mean to direct that wish specifically to you, BTW.
It's just that we're among plenty of engineers here, and many of us,
myself included, tend to be attracted to seeking the limits and
"optimizing" towards them, and there have been so many misunderstandings
in this multithread that I wanted to try to set a different, more useful
optimization goal.
