It's definitely not ok to move forward.  I'm pretty sure your patch 
as-is will cause testsuite hangs and it doesn't fix the usage of hwcaps 
in the resolver paths.

It takes time to do proper testing, hence the delay in getting you some 
feedback.  Things will go faster if you include testing information in 
your submissions.
