gdb does not stop at printf for ppc

Thanks for the information, but it seems that it can not be easily created
by the compiler on C code (typedef creates DW_TAG_typedef and asm function
aliases do not generate DWARF entries); and relying on a possible incomplete
is kinda fragile because we would like to support old gdb releases.

I think the local symbol aliases seems the best strategy.
