What about the day headings in calendars? This web site
<https://www.moph.gov.qa/arabic/mediacenter/Events/Pages/default.aspx>
seems to use abbreviations there.

I was going to ask about the cal tool from util-linux, but I'm not
sure if it works correctly today.
