Changed. Was mostly treating it as a correctness case and figured user
would expect end of regions to be hot so that might make it worth it
but the 4x case can have a pretty substantial tail. On aliasing case
where size is just at nt threshold this actually makes a
difference. Also changed the 2x to use nt stores on the tail. Nice
thought!
