Question on compiling glibc

Thank you so much for your quick reply and really useful info.
I tried using strip command to strip generated libraries as there are
only a few.
But there is another problem when I tried calling new ld.so, it shows
something like
"/usr/bin/dircolors: : SHHWHH?HC[D: Error 18446744072667951312" no
matter what binaries I executed. I think it should have something wrong
with ld.so?
Anyway, it is another problem occurred, if you could help I will be so
appreciated.
