Thanks!  I'd add: the "requires out-of-tree patches" statement in README 
needs to be removed, and a NEWS entry is needed.  Will you be able to 
provide full execution test results for the testsuite on the per-release 
wiki pages for 2.28 and later releases, during each release freeze period?
