Those *.9000 tags are only for the purposes of "git describe" (to 
distinguish numbers of post-release commits on a release branch from 
numbers of post-release commits on master), and represent the start of 
development for a new version.  It doesn't make any sense to build from 
them; either use a release branch, or current master.
