We're not considering new features or ABIs for 2.26 at this point; they 
need to be targetted at 2.27 or later.

You don't say anything about Infinity 
<https://infinitynotes.org/wiki/Infinity> in your patch submission.  I 
think Infinity is the obvious solution to such issues for cross-debugging 
of threads, so you really need to compare and contrast and explain the 
advantages you think your approach has, if you wish to propose it instead 
of or as well as Infinity.  Or have I misunderstood what your patch and 
Infinity are doing?
