That looks like it would work eventually, but is probably too large to 
squeeze into the Emacs 25 release as we're pretty late in the 25 release 
process.

Does Emacs master (i.e., post-25 branch) work with glibc when the 
deprecated malloc symbols are removed? If so, that would be a reasonable 
target. But this wouldn't happen until the major Emacs release after 
Emacs 25.
