Notice clock_* functions in librt.so for old GLIBC_2.18 builds?

I noticed in my 2.18->2.17 rebuild that the clock_ functions
were there in the old library and not there in the new, but
since it was an ABI break anyway, and the 2.17 result was the
correct result, I didn't dig deeply into it.
