[PATCH 0/6] Improvements of lock elision code.

The following series of patches improves and cleans up the x86 lock elision
code.  The patches conflict with each other and need to be applied in the given
order.

Warning: I have no access to an Intel machine with TSX and can not test these
patches, or even compile them.  I have tested similar code on the s390 port of
the lock elision patches.

Note: I'm not 100% sure I use the return code of _xtest correctly (patch 4).
