Nah.  It's been enjoyable work, besides its being useful for me to get
acquainted with (almost) the entire glibc codebase.

I didn't get the impression that was his point.  AFAICT he just wanted
an existing patch that fixed a bug mentioned in the docs to go in first
so as to obviate that note.  That makes perfect sense to me!

For each patch that gets changes from what's already posted, I'll post
an updated patch, consolidating the requested changes and noting any
other changes I may have made on my own, and wait for another ACK before
checking them in.
