Monday was not a holiday in every country in the world, and in fact
was a work day.

Besides, the free software community is not governed by so called
"work days" and whatnot.  People tend to work on these projects
whenever they feel like it.  So I think your complaint is a bit off
the mark, and ultimately unreasonable.
