My proposed layout for the master glibc site would be:

- Tiny Intro blurb (there)
- News (not there)
  * List the 5-10 most recent news entries.
  * Pre-populate with top 5 entries from NEWS.
- Availability (there)
- Contributing (not there)
  * Discuss which mailing lists are appropriate and
    how to get involved.
   - Bug database. (there)
   - Mailing lists (there)

We should get in the habit of updating news when:
- Interesting new user visible feature is checked in.
- A release is made.
