It is a real pity that the GNU project is so isolationist. At least
glibc still supports linux! Hope it doesn't switch to HURD only.

Anyway, that does save me some time figuring out how to build it.
Thanks, I will just keep a local patch. Anyone looking for the problem
is likely to find the post and not disturb you guys anymore.
