  I have couple of hints:

  Make sure your patch has not whitespace mangled and is not
linewrapped, like this one is - e.g. the double remquo line is split in
two.

  Include ChangeLog entry in front of your patch. For inspiration, look
at other patches here or at the libc-hackers mailing list, e.g.

	http://sourceware.org/ml/libc-alpha/2007-10/msg00003.html

  And perhaps consider just adding the patch as an attachment to the
bugzilla entry if there is one for the bug, though I'm not sure if the
CVS committers would prefer the patch there or as a mailing list post.
