localedef --verbose aborts on warnings

Hello,
Running
# localedef -v -f IBM850 -i de_DE /usr/lib/locale/de_DE.ibm850
on FC4 aborts on generated warnings.
# localedef -f IBM850 -i de_DE /usr/lib/locale/de_DE.ibm850
compiles the locale without problems. This is a bit odd: Increasing
verbosity normally does not influence the behaviour of an application
apart from letting it produce more output.
Maybe the flags -v and --verbose should be renamed -s and --strict?
Leonard.
