-Bdirect linking

Hi,

Are there any plans to do what Sun did with direct linking, as described
here?

This would help in various situations, in particular where different
versions of the same library conflict (eg libstdc++.so.X - symbol
versioning does not help here).

It would also improve performance in some cases.

If nobody has any plans, would patches be accepted for it?
