trouble compiling glibc-2.3.2 with gcc-3.5-20040523

At least the bug I submitted it targeted for GCC 3.5, so it should be a
matter of a month or two to get fixed. This not only shows up during
cross-compilation, but also (at least on x86_64) on native compilers.

Since it's already a Target Milestone for 3.5.0, I think they'll fix it
soon. Fortunately, I'm not yet that far in glibc to hit this bug:)
Though, I can't really decide if gcc or glibc (and Linux kernel) is
wrong here...
