compile error on powerpc64

Cross compiling glibc for the ppc970 causes the following error :
/home/rafael/crosstool/powerpc64-linux-gnu/gcc-libc/powerpc64-linux-gnu/sys-root/usr/include/linux/posix_type
s.h:36: Error: Unrecognized opcode: `typedef

adding "#define __ASSEMBLY__" to 
./sysdeps/powerpc/powerpc64/elf/start.S

solves the problem.
