Latest Glibc from CVS has segmentation problems.

I have been trying the last few months to get the latest Glibc from CVS
working on my system. No issues when compiling Glibc from CVS but when
trying to use the shared libraries, I keep getting "Segmentation violation
at address" from INIT when I restart my computer. If I compile the Glibc
2.3.2 from source and use its shared libraries, no problems.I even tried
recompiling init with no luck. Has anyone else had this problem?

I tried using 2.4 and 2.6 kernel headers

binutils-2.15.90.0.1.1
autoconf 2.59
automake 1.8.2
bin86 0.16.15
Slackware 9.xx system
