Glibc compile errors

   This may be your problem.  Do not configure in the source
   directory.  Also, I'm not sure what the i586-slackware-linux is.
   Do you mean --build=i586-slackware-linux?

'i586-slackware-linux' is not even a legal.  The format is:
CPU_TYPE-MANUFACTURER-KERNEL-OPERATING_SYSTEM or
CPU_TYPE-MANUFACTURER-OPERATING_SYSTEM.

So it should be something like i586-unknown-linux-gnu-slackware, or
something.
