Thanks. I was tracking this bug with Franz, he wants to know the
underlying issue. But it does not fail anymore with current cvs version
of binutils, gcc-3.2, gcc-3.3 and gcc-3.3-hammer tree, and glibc head +
his patch that he sent in another mail. (cvs status from today 1am GMT)

Maybe I mixed my glibc tree, I will have a closer look at it tomorrow.
This glibc tree does not contain Alans patch, at least it is supposed to
be...
