2.3.1 + linuxthreads does work as long as --enable-kernel=2.4.0 or 
above  (no surprise)

NGPT and NPTL both also work.

Going to 2.3.1 is probably "bad" advise.   Not a wise move for a 
production server....  Least not without planning. Someday ... but not  
today I'm afraid.

Anyway ... in case anyone cares about a fix for 2.2.5 I have one. Still 
testing it tho yet, it's pretty simple.
