Argh, yes, I was confusing it with something else, namely ld re-exporting 
any used gcc2 libgcc symbols from shared libs.

Seems my brain is already preparing for the Oktoberfest... ;-).

Sorry for the confusion, so the only advantage of my patch are 4 saved PLT 
entries for non-x86 platforms that do version the divdi3.c symbols for 
compatibility. Well, on PPC they are already saved, cause we already use 
normal (non-default) versions for them.
