Does anyone know the right way to tweak the configure process to allow glibc to (at least try to) compile using gcc-3.0?? I've tried adding "*3.0*" to what appears to be the list of acceptable gcc versions, but this did not work. Any help will be appreciated.  Britton E. Payne
