BTW: the test program he sent is NOT part of the libc-alpha mailing list 
so all I could look at was his patch and your cryptic reply.

In case you are half-curious, I said "You are welcome" because as always I 
interpreted your less than cryptic response to mean:

"Thank you for your interest in our project.  Also thank you for trying to 
expand and clarify my reasons for rejecting the patch which were not 
immediately clear given my short" response.  I realize the original 
submitter is  not a native english-speaker , and that expounding just a 
wee bit on why I could not accept his patch might be important.  
Especially since others are experiencing the same or similar issues."

Ulrich you are one in a million.  Luckily I have very thick skin!
