PATCH: ldconfig.c considers ld.so.conf entries before /lib,/usr/lib

Yes, that was purely anecdotal.

That is a lingering concern I had too.

Not a conflict. Atlas' libblas.so is a drop-in replacement for the standard
libblas.so. 

But if it doesn't fly ... we will have to stick with shell wrappers. Pity.
