Thanks for this elaboration. I don't have any say in that, but I'd
prefer if those of your patches that fix the bugs are applied to
glibc. I personally would still recommend to reduce these patches to
the absolute minimum to fix bugs in the glibc-on-current-Linux case;
glibc 2.2 is *really* close to the release, and adding patches that
late must have very good justification.
