Seems to work fine:

$ mtrace pr1782 m
No memory leaks.

Thanks a lot.  I've just run make and make check without problems and
committed your patch.

Salvador, can you test the patch please also and confirm that it
really fixes the memory leak?
Please note that the patch is against the current development version
of glibc (glibc 2.1.91), I hope it applies cleanly against 2.1.2.
