Now you lost me. There are different sources of program code. We could
update all the code of a distribution but that doesn't mean that the
program code of our vendors will get updated. So we can't drop the
compatibility library. And if we do it now we would have to start with
glibc version 2.1.3 but if I understood you correctly you want to let
s390 start with glibc 2.2.
Something different. Ulrich Weigand found a namespace problem in
setjmp.h. Attached is the patch.
