You obviously haven't read or did understand what you got told from
several people.  The proposal is rejceted for many reason, chief among
them is that programs using them don't get fixed, just broken in a
different way.  So stop now, you have absolutely no arguments.  If you
find code which would need these functions, fix it *correctly*
instead.
