configure does not recognize "gcc-2.95"

checking version of gcc... gcc-2.95, bad

I added the following two cases to my local tree: 
`gcc-2.9[5-9]|gcc-2.9[5-9].*', which matches the version number 
changes recently noted on the egcs list.

Not including a diff because of the long lines.
