I'll probably try installing 2.1.2pre3 on Monday and I'll let you know
what happens then. I'll be compiling it with -fexceptions, as I'm
working on the unwinding thread thing you've probably been reading
about. Note that my failure occurred with 2.1.1pre2--I haven't tried a
2.1.2 series glibc yet.
