Processor specific code in glibc

Ulrich,
egcs at the moment predefines only k6 and i386 when given -mcpu=k6, so
I started at additionally defining i586 in that case in order to get
processor specific optimization in code like glibc's string and math
optimizations.
Jeff Law's opinion was that -mcpu=k6 should not predefine any other
ix86 but that would mean that glibc would have to be changed where
necessary. Jeff said your input as glibc maintainer was needed, which
I hereby request :)
