glibc-2.0.99 build problems

   Is anyone else having problems building glibc 2.0.99? On linuxppc
under glibc 2.0.98, I am finding that symbols are not resolved for
makedb in db2. One of the linuxppc folks suggested this was because
makedb is built before the new glibc is installed. Does anyone have
a patch to will allow glibc 2.0.98 to build cleanly from the tarball?
